About Us

Welcome to the Mogadishu Orphanage. In light of civil war and unrest in Somalia, we are concerned about the young and innocent whose families have been damaged. Shamis Elmi has developed a non-profit organisation to aid orphaned children and young adults by housing them and providing good schooling. The orphanage is a combined residential home and schooling for day visitors. We have 55 young orphans between the ages of 7 to 9 years old. These children are permanent residents and an additional 30 children attend the orphanage daily for education.
